Why We Are Different
As a small artisanal winemaker, each vintage is unique and an expression of a variety of influences for that year – soil, weather, and aging are critical.
We follow a strict process from start to finish to produce all organic wines. Respect for the environment and sustainability are of utmost importance for our team throughout all winemaking stages. Our organic farming method is based on environmental practices that improve soil quality and achieve biodiversity through the exclusion of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Our wines are a blend of primarily two traditional Bordeaux varietals, merlot and cabernet franc. Our vines have an average age of 25 years. We use stainless steel and oak barrels, producing an average of 5000 bottles each year.

| Vintage | Tasting Notes |
|---|---|
| 2015 | Extremely warm and dry growing season. Wine is highly concentrated and has great aging potential. |
| 2016 | The season began with a lot of rain, followed by late summer heat. Heavier use of cabernet franc led to great structure. Should be held. |
| 2017 | Overall warm and dry, with some spring frost. Mid-summer was somewhat cloudy providing freshness and acidity to the berries. Not highly tannic. Ready to drink now. |
| 2018 | Spring rains led to a moderately warm summer, ending the season with dry conditions. This combination created a very fresh and fruity wine with silky tannins. This vintage will age well. |
| 2019 | Season began with a lot of rain, followed by late summer heat. Heavier use of cabernet franc led to great structure. This is also our first vintage which included a special cuvée made of grapes grown and harvested at Clos Pressac. We also introduced Les Modillons into our collection. Ready to drink 2023 – 2043. |
| 2020 | A cool and rainy spring followed by a hot and dry summer. The combination resulted in a very fresh and fruit-forward wine, which is aging nicely. |
| 2021 | A challenging year with a very hot summer and drought conditions, but rain arrived just before the harvest. A lower yield than expected, but an exceptionally concentrated and complex vintage has resulted. |
| 2022 | We experienced some of the hottest temperatures on record, along with persistent heatwaves and drought. The intense sun and heat resulted in providing an elegant wine with characteristics of dark fruit and espresso. |
| 2023 | A typical spring and summer, with extremely high temperatures in August. But, overall, there was still a balance between the rain and heat. This vintage is manifesting as an extremely pleasing wine. |
| 2024 | We experienced some of the hottest temperatures on record, along with persistent heatwaves and drought. The intense sun and heat resulted in an elegant wine with characteristics of dark fruit and espresso. |
| 2025 | What a year! Prolonged period of high temperatures and little rain led to stressful conditions for our vines – which led them to produce a concentrated, high quality vintage. We are very excited to see where this wine leads. |
| Tisane de Septembre | Created to pay homage to Louis François Armand de Vigneron du Plessis, Duc de Richelieu (1696-1788), who was appointed Governor of Guyenne and Gascogne. He introduced Bordeaux wine to the court of Versailles which many called Tisane (Herbal Tea) de Maréchal for its rejuvenation properties. September is often the month of the annual harvest. |
